Default mabey algae?

so i got this white.....fuzz, hair on my live rock. i cant take a picture its to small iv been reading a fungus but the attached pictures look nothing like what i have. it looks like small hairs with filter feeding ends like the way a piece of xenia looks only WAY smaller and there are 1000s of the tiny things
there only on one peice and the rock was kept in a sealed bucket for close to 4 months how could anything survive? should be dead base rock or so i thought ummm another thing is the tank has been lightless for the entire month it has been set up so i wouldnt assume algea but in this hobby its anyones guess lol.

its def NOT a sponge have had many sponges and there all individual hairs about 2MM-3MM long. also not aiptasia have had lots of that to and plus to much of a coincidence for all 1000 of these things to be the exact same size.
next not hydroids all the pics look nothing like these guys ill try to get a pic but another way to descride it is as a white fuzz?

that explanation might work as the rock in question (and its only the one rock)came from my old tank and was covered in hair algae before being dumped into the bucket i figured 4 months in a dark sealed bucket would be sufficient to kill off any algae
