there is no "best" model, what size is your tank, is it reef, or fish only. How large is your bio load? Do you feed heavily? For hang on skimmers for tanks from 50-150 gallons, the excaliber skimmers are great!!!

I used to use the seaclone, I loved it, seems I'm the only one, then I used a prism, once tuned it worked like a charm, everyone else seems to hate them, and then finally I had a bak pak CPR, didn't work well at all, added a wooden air stone and that thing was a skimming god.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, like UnderWorldAquatics says, there is no "Best". I got the ones I did, and then I made them work.

Remora pro skims great for a hang on but can be noisy.
