Hammering effect throu the cycle

I have a hammering effect as my O/M-4 runs throu its cycle.
I run it with a Sequence Baracuda . O/M input is 2" outputs 1 1/2" I run the drum 1&3 , 2&4 Do you have any ideas as how this problem can be resolved?

What do you have on the end of the outlets in the tank? plumbing pics always help.

It's a very common problem. Give Paul a call. I have the same issue running a hammer head pump. Paul has made a custom drum for me that works 100%
what he does is bevel out the drum so that water follows out of all ports all the time but not much

I had the same thing happening to me once and found that it was caused by some sand that got down into the drum. Took out the drum, rinsed it clean and flushed the body, put the drum back in and that was that. Just my experience but might not be your issue.

Jason I was thinking that it might have had something to do with the ports opening and closing. Before I give Paul a call I will just open and clean out the drum (the system has no sand but I guess it could be some pvc cuttings that have gone throu the system during the fresh water test.

Ok removed unit, no detris to speak of and it was in need of grease I reinstalled it and found that it still was hammering .
next step I guess is pics will get em up soon.
Ps it is a 7yrs old unit do these things run for life or degenerate over time?

Mine started hammering or I guess a better description would be skipping. Where the drum would not turn and the magnet drive would bang when it would turn and the drum wouldn't, after 5 years. I found that the drum was worn and needed replacment. All was good after replacment

There is nothing to go wrong that cannot be fixed there are 10 year old units still chugging away., the fact that you have loc-line on the outlets is the main reason for the hammering, you simply cannot force that much water through the orifices that you have, you are trying to push 4300 gallons through just two 3/4 holes, you must replace these with 1" to function properly, do this and your issue will go away.

The first test I did was to remove the loc line! I now only have the 1" returns dumping straight to the tank .
Still had the hammering after the removal of all loc line.
I continued to trouble shoot . Cleaning & greasing the magnets has not stopped the hammering either
I assume that I have to reconsider my plumbing setup this is why I said I will post pics soon, as to give some help to solve my issues.
