Submit to us your YouTube video links, and the best submission will receive a $2000 Gift Certificate towards the purchase of Vertex products from any Vertex dealer!
Don’t worry if your clip isn’t a Hollywood video editing production - videos don’t need to be professional, just make them fun, creative and informative! Contest entries will be judged by the Vertex Aquaristik Employees, but earn extra judge-influencing points for YouTube hit counts and getting your friends to “like” your Facebook submission.
Links to your video submissions should be emailed to us at Contest@Vertexaquaristik.com.
Videos will be judged by the following five criteria:

• Creativity
• Showcasing of your Vertex Aquaristik product
• Memorable Content and Delivery
• Production Quality
• Overall number of Facebook “Likes” and YouTube hits during the submission period
Tips for your production:

• Think of your favourite commercials or video shorts; find inspiration from the media around you. Achieving polish can often as simple as bright lighting, clean audio and crisp cuts.
• Start with a draft you will have fun working with. Is there an old idea you’ve been kicking around? You may very well find a home for it here!
• Spend time on editing once you've got your rough. Try different sequences, and don't be afraid to experiment.
• Be descriptive with your video comments. The more information we have, the easier it will be to judge your entry.
• There is no limit to the amount of videos you can submit.
• Once finished with your project, you will want to upload your video to YouTube. Here is a handy guide to uploading: YouTube's Guide to video uploading.

Some Rules for you:

• By submitting an entry, entrant warrants that he/she is the sole author and copyright owner of entry or has permission (via license or otherwise) to use or incorporate those entry portions authored or owned by third parties.
• Please respect the rights of copyright holders and publishers. Vertex Aquaristik requires all users to confirm they own the copyright or have permission from the copyright holder to use and upload content.
• Use of images, music, and other works in the public domain may be incorporated into videos. However, materials that infringe on the rights of any third party may not be used unless consent has been obtained.
• The Video must not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, defamatory, slanderous or libellous;
• The Video must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on age, disability, gender, nationality, race, religion, or sexual orientation; and
• The Video must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state where Video is created.
SUBMITTING YOUR ENTRY

Below you will find the entry form. Once your video project is finished and uploaded to YouTube (www.youtube.com), fill out all the given fields, copy/paste the video URL and that's it!

By submitting your video, you consent to the use of your video submission by Vertex Aquaristik for promotional purposes. All videos must be submitted by December 26th, 2010 for contest eligibility. Winners will be announced January 10th, 2011.
