The KFC Double Down HOOPLAH

Well as we all know, from previous threads, there is a bunch of hooplah about the KFC Double Down, how bad it is for you and so on.

Well, I personally just went and tried one out... SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!

This thing was $6.99 + GST and was tiny. A McDonalds double cheeseburger has more meat protein and cheese than this piece of crap, and it is only $1.69

What they represent on TV, Posters and websites was not what I got.

I won't buy that again! Buyer Beware!

I had one last week and the grease oozed out of it and soaked the bag......I suffered a cardiac arrest half way through it my heart must have restarted when I hit the floor....it was good but not THAT good...take away 1 piece of meat and add a bun it would be better IMO

i loved it
i would recommend getting extra cheese and bacon

its just like two pieces of chicken and cheese

I thought it was sooo stupid for the money. its like 2 chicken fingers with 2 strips of bacon... hardly worth the silly amount of money you pay for it.

Oh this is funny....

I sent an email to KFC Canada, just to state my experience... Now the store that I went to called me, and they even said it is a ripp off. I commented how KFC is overpriced overall, and is not meeting the needs of the economy like other big chains, and the lady on the phone (the manager) agreed. She said KFC is overpriced overall. Wow!!!! That person needs to go back to KFC school to be re-brainwashed.

Just thought I would let you all know. I kinda got a chuckle out of that.

A local radio station was giving them away when they first came out, I had 2 free double downs, thought it was pretty good

I might be biased cause I work at kfc and eat it practically free almost every day (yuck but yum) lol but I thought it was pretty tasty. Greasy yes, but tasty and full of protien I could go all day without eating anything else. I'm not sure what yours were made of but IMO for two chicken breast fillets with cheese and bacon stuffed between them I think $6.99 is pretty good they're $7.49 and we've been selling them like crazy. Considering our kfc sells a sandwich called the big fresh for $7.50 and it's 1 of the same fillets on a bun I'd say it's an ok deal. Anyway all fast food is a ripoff I'm sure you pay $8 for subway that's costs them $2 as well

Plus you have NO idea what the heck the meat is in that $1.69 hamburger *shudder* at least I know for $7 I'm eating real chicken that I could buy fro a grocery store
