Cleaning Equipment??

What do you use to clean your SW equipment?

I picked up some stuff second hand and the stuff that was taken out of the sump is covered in stubborn little white speckles.

It is not salt creep but being a FW guy I have no idea what this is or how to remove it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx.
