Default EcoPlus - Eco 3170 Submersible Pump

Has anyone had experience with these?

EcoPlus - Eco 3170 Submersible Pump

http://dga-online.com/mm5/merchant.m...gory_Code=PUMP

I have a 120 G with about 30 G in sump. I am adding about another 30 G to my system soon so was eyeing an upgrade for my return pump. Currently I have a MAG 18 which I am happy with but with 4ft to the tank bulkhead and the extra water volume I am getting further and further away from that magic 10 x tank volume figure. (and I am not even calculating resistance due to plumbing etc.)

So.... I was looking at this Eco 3170. The watts it uses seems like ALOT less than going to a higher Mag model. And it seems like alot of flow for the money as well. The only thing I was wondering about is the loss of flow do to head pressure. It seems ponds are part of its application and they do not give anything but maximum height in the product restriction. I am wondering if any head pressure will reduce the performace dramatically since nothing is mentioned about it.

Anyone use these or have any info on them?

thanks,
