Not flatworms, they're just little white bugs. And they're good for your tank!

So true, I always had little white bugs when I set up a tank. They always disappeared soon, and never hurt anything.

does that mean it's a bad thing when i scrubbed them off with my magfloat last night? i was scrubbing algae from the glass and might have took some of them out.

guess i'll do most of my maintenance during the day rather than 2am in the morning.

If you want to avoid killing any, blow them off with an eye dropper first before cleaning. They are probably copepods.

Something in your tank will eventually eat them.

Did the fish eat them as you cleaned the glass?
