Default bryopsis and high MG

so we had problem with bryopsis lasts months... nasty hair algea!
we scraped out the much we could, feed less the fishes, started phosguard and got my MG in the 1650-1750 rang...
the bryopsis is gone! we did not saw any for the last month! :celeb1:

Now I would like to know if it's dangerous to keep my MG in that range.. or should I get it back to 1250-1350?

Hi Josie,

It is ok to keep the Mg that high for several weeks, but if all signs of hair algae are gone you can start slowly lowering the Mg just by doing regular water changes. Long-term, Mg should be maintained around 1300-1400 ppm. What product are you using for regular maintenance?

-MG from BulkReef Supply to raise
-a magnesium granulated add in the calcium reactor (fauna marin I think, dont remember the name) to maintain MG

Ok, you will need to remove the Mg from the reactor to get the Mg to fall then. That could be fun pick it out. LOL
