![]() My mandarin was eating very well in Victoria I had a good established sandbed. But since moving I went bare bottom, and he needs food.
I need to get some pods from someone to help seed the sand bed. Can anyone in the lower mainland help me out? |

![]() Any good quality cured live rock should do the trick....
If your mandarin is already in the tank, it will probably just eat any new pods before they can establish a sustainable population |

![]() your sand bed suports nothing compared to the rock, what you do have to do is creat breading grounds behind your rock consisting of rubble in piles as big as you can make with small enough rubble that the mandrin cannot get into them to eat all the pods.

It's almost impossible to get a good pod population in a tank that already has a mandarin unless it is a HUGE system. your best bet is to continuously add pods from the bottle... or you can set up an add on fuge like an aquaclear or something similar as an outside pod breeding ground that you mandy cannot get at. |

![]() any chance you have a fuge? you should if you have a mandarin
cheato is loaded with pods and life. get a few balls and cycle them from the display to the fuge. do this every so often and the mandarin should be ok. |
