Free: small-medium size astrea snails [Queensborough New West]
puffer food maybe?
I got a few to give away for free about size of a dime. Trying to get rid before they multiply even more. I will be throwing them out when I clean my tank on Friday if no one takes them. They grow pretty fast as well *ALL GONE* thanks Also just a correction I checked the snails and they are Trochus snails not Astreas Last edited by sobe; 04-15-2010 at 01:22 AM.

Snails
Do they make a good cleaning crew?

They eat mostly diatoms and newly forming algea on the glass and rocks. I still have to clean the glass though. I find snails are good indicator if your tank is healthy, if not they just start dieing off I don't have hair algea on my tank so I'm not sure if they will eat that. Big turbos will eat those.
