Default Crystal Sea mix

I tested my replacement water after mixing for about 14hrs. There was Phosphate in it It's no wonder that I have a algae bloom after water changes with R/O water. I'm goining out to buy IO today hopefully that will solve the algae problem. Anyone else use Crystal sae marine mix? Have you notice this?
Just thought I would let everyone know.

I hear mixed opinions on the brand of salt, mostly negatives.

Where are you getting your R/O water?

Ah ok, not familiar with that store. I was just gonna bring up something that happend a few weeks ago.

Christy was having more algae problems so she used my TDS meter to test her R/O water.. it was 29ppm which is way high!! The water was bought from Save On. I guess they haven't changed out the R/O in a few years! She tested tap water and it was 25ppm.. to think people pay for that R/O water

So phosphates could be comming from that water source or maybe the salt mix?

I tested the R/O water for Phosphate and it was undetectable. I don't have a TDS meter. I'll call the store tomorrow and ask if they test. It is a new store here in Surrey, so I don't think their TDS would be high, but who knows.
