Default Large White Flatworms?

Every once in awhile, I see animals in two of my tanks on the glass that look like large flatworms, only they are white and semi-transparent. They have an obvious mouth at the top, with a protrubrance on either side of the mouth that propels them quickly along the glass. Have also seen one moving on one of my small H. whitei seahorses, which sorta freaked me, and I managed to remove the thing from the horse and kill it

As these actually flatworms, or something else?

Hello Beverly,
What you have sounds like Amphiscolops.
It is a harmless planaria.
They are probably quite happy in your seahorse system as they feed on copepods. With all the small live food you feed they are probably living the easy life! Like flatworms they are not a problem unless they reach plague proportions.

Van,

Saw one the other day. Looked like it had eaten a brown flatworm as I coud see through to its belly. Saw another one today and while I was trying to wipe off the glass, it swam away. Good swimmer, too. Still think it's an Amphiscolops?

TIA.
