Default Can puffers get bruises?

Got another puffer yesterday. He's really active, havn't seen him eat yet, but havn't fed them much yet this morning. But, on his side/belly iit's swollen and black, bruise looking on his side. Just wondering if they can get bruised? I didn't get a good look at him in the store, as he had just come in from LA and was still in shipping bag. We changed a little water, added some Ammonia remover and home I went. I was only down for today, so it was then or not to get him.

I'm hoping he just bruised himself and it will go away. But like I said, he does not seem stressed, Hes out at the glass, swimming all over the tank, where the last one I had went into the rockwork and hid till he died
