![]() Awesome. It's really cool that a bunch of people donated for this
![]() On a side note, I found an old copy of one of the books there, 'A Practical Guide to Tropical Aquarium Fish', at my cabin this weekend. Copyright 1992... the section on marine setups is... interesting ![]()

![]() It is a pretty darn good book for newbies to freshwater, with lots of pictures. Much of that section still holds, not much has really changed there. The equipment maybe... and the book is colorful. I was just amazed at how much has changed in the marine section, specially what it says about 'decorating' with live rock

![]() We have coral pics.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The blue background is not really there, I put my kids' plastic sled behind the tank for the pictures. ![]() I will be adding in the base rock soon, as it has finished cycling (albeit still has diatoms). This little tank had a small outbreak of flatworms in July which I hopefully killed off using levamisole. The corals weren't too happy about the treatment and I lost the snail and mini brittles I had added, but although a few things shrank a bit no corals died. The group is hoping to raise enough money in their upcoming garage sale to cover the shipping costs from Oceanic corals' donations so that we can receive them. |

![]() I finally got the rock in. Does it look ok this way or does it need more rock? Should I add in sand or leave it sandless for the winner to decide how they like it?

![]() I hope this club takes off in Red Deer. I would enjoy to see some tanks there when I visit family.
