LED Moon lights?

Is there any purpose to use LED moon light's or are they just for night time viewing enjoyment.

i heard that moonlights help stimulate spawning and such. just what i heard

I believe they are more for a different look.

My ProfiLux moon lights also do a lightening show and it is one of my favorite lighting periods.

I'm not sure if they are of any benefit and I don't like the look of a totally dark tank. I personally bought them for my own night time veiwing. Since I added my moon lights my clown fish are constantly spawning. But I do have a couple of hours of total darkness. Not really a helpful answer just my expereinces.

All info is helpfull. I don't like a dark tank either. I think I will put some in mine. Thanks all.
