Default Please tell me if these are healthy

Hi All,

Here are some pics of my new montipora frag and clam. I think that I may have purchased the wrong clam though. It looks like a Derasa is that correct?

I am worried about the frag in that on the bottom left it has no color at all. It is placed high up in the tank with some nice current. Lighting is dual 250w 10k's. When I first purchased him a week ago that white spot was not there, although I could have damaged him while gluing. Do polyps come out on these frags? I have not seen any at all with the exception of a few purple dots that I have noticed. All my other frags (digitata) have fully extended.

Lastly, does the clam seem heatlhy? Obviously this is my first one, I have of course been reading, etc, but you know how it is!

Thanks,

Rob

well sadly it looks like the montipora cap frag has gone to a better place, that aquacultured reef in the sky.

I still don't really know where the problem lay. All other inhabitants seem to be doing well. Water parameters have been stable and reasonable. Nitrates are at around 5ppm. Even with the heat, I have been able to maintain a tank temp around 78deg, and the other frags purchased seem fine.

I will wait befor buying another cap frag, and definitely will go with one that looks healthier than this one did, but I hate to see something die in my tank. POOP!

Best,

Rob
