I got home today with 4 baby ocellaris clowns for my 230 gallon tank! As soon as they were done acclimating, i put them in and immeadiatly they all went straight for my BTA. ![]() Not sure how it works with ocellaris clowns, but there are several species that will tolerate other clowns once the mating pair is established. I have a Maroon pair and that's it, the female would destroy any other clownfish in the tank.
At some point two of your group will become the dominant pair, what happens after that is anyone's guess, but for most species, the dudes left out of the mating situation tend to be harassed, especially in a captive environment. As mentioned earlier with certain species the remaining clowns are tolerated as immature unsexed individuals, but I don't recall which species.
