Default Halides 250/400 what would you do?

Ok got my 90 almost ready to go. All the plumbing is done, its been running and so far leak free!! Now I'm on to the lighting. I have here 3 different lights. I have an older 400 watt Mogul halide,a Current 150 watt DE halide with led whites and actincs(fits on my 30 gallon) and a 250 Watt Giesemann DE pendant. All bulbs on all the lights are fairly new so they all have lots of life left

So with these lights what would you use? I'm thinking the tank will be a softie tank, although I would like a clam or 3. Opinions are wanted!! Or should I sell/trade
all my lights for something else? Thanks and I hope to hear from you!

If it helps I have a 250w halide over my 55g and it keeps my little 2" sqamosa very happy and I'd feel comfortable keeping just about anything under that

I think 400W is pretty much overkill unless you have a deep tank and are trying to keep high light requiring livestock in it. Save money on your electrical bills and have slightly less heat to deal with by going with 250s.

I have 2x 400w over my 18" tall 90, happy with that amount of light for my SPS and clams. Heat could be an issue with that much light though...

I have 2 400's over my 150g and am really really happy with them.....and SPS survives and thrives at ANY level...but sometimes with the heat issues I wish I had gone with 250's.

Is your 150 a 5' tank as well? Presently, I have 2 150DE and 1 SE 250 on my 5'x2'x2' tank. I am contemplating making a pair of Lumenmax 3's for and going 2 250W SE. WOndering how the spread will be?

Yup, mine is a 5 foot tank as well. My light coverage is AMAZING! I have SPS on the bottom that are thriving with excellent color and PE. My light is a PFO 48" fixture with 2 x 400 and 2 48" VHO's ... it looks FANTASTIC! Especially when you remember to change the bulbs as often as recommended.....but that's an entire new thread LOL.
