Samw, thanks for the encouragement on the other BB. I don't have much in my tank yet, or otherwise I'd have given you a better run for your pic.

And your shot proves it. It doesn't take a $1000 dollar camera to take great macro shots.

Actually, I did spend about $1,000 with taxes added 1.5 years ago for my S40.

At that time, for an extra $100, I could have gotten a G2 for really good Macro. The Powershot S40 has 2 known limitations and that is poor macro and poor flash. The benefit of the S40 over the G2 is the compact size.
