![]() Just noticed today that my cleaner shrimp has berries. They are very pale, like an eggshell colour. There is only one cleaner in the tank, and he's been with us for about a year. Are they suppose to be able to reproduce without mates?

![]() When my cleaners ever looked like they had eggs they had a greenish hue, I thought.

![]() Cleaners, While hermaphroditic will not self fertilize.
Even in you have two, A dedicated tank is needed to even attempt to raise any young.

![]() It is actually fairly common for Arthropods in general to produce unfertilized eggmasses; they usually eat them or throw them away after a while. I'm not sure why this happens.
