![]() Any suggestions for a med. stocked 70gallon with 20 gallon sump? Dont think the super-skimmer 65 I have on my 33 is gonna cut it.

![]() Thinking about it, but after reading the reviews on here and the problems people are having with the ceramic shafts, leaning towards an octopus skimmer as they are roughly the same price.

![]() Myself, I like the Bubbleking Mini's. I have tried Seaclone, Berlin, MarineTech and one other skimmer that I forgot the name. BK's been my favourite. I have'nt heard anything negative about Octopus.

![]() The problems don't seem to be a big deal though, just get a replacement shaft...they seem to be fine after that. I bought a Vertex IN80 in January I think it was when J&L had them on 25% off. That's enough for me to give it a try! I think one of the biggest things is to simply clean the motor before using it the first time, which is something I do with all my pumps anyway. I suppose it would suck if you needed that skimmer working pronto, but I've never had that need (I don't run one at all right now), so I'm not too worried about a late start up when it comes time to actually put it to use.

![]() There is a new Bubbleking/Vertex cone skimmer comming out that looks promising, might be worth waiting to hear the reviews on them.
