![]() I am costing out building my own 180gal. Does anyone know the best place to get glass near Vancouver. Also is it worth it to go with a Starfire front pane?
Any help is appreciated. Joe.

![]() This is where I buy my glass as well, great prices and if you want they can polish the edges for a real nice finish, definatley go with starfire for the front pane, well worth the extra $$$$$ What dimensions are you thinking? a 180 that is 6x2x2 is going to take 44 square feet, last time I bought 1/2" it was $26 per square you're looking at $1144.00 just for tank glass not including bracing, starfire, drilled holes, overflow, silicone or any edge treatments, I only paid $1100 for a ready built 180 with dual overflows. Would be a fun project but you won't be saving any money building your own. I may have some old 1/2" pieces in the shop from other projects, you are welcome to them free but you would have to come and get them. Good luck, have fun and post pics!
