Just curious how many people run a uv ?

I have one but only use it occasionally.

I've got one. Its an Aquanetics Q15SPT. Almost new 15W bulb (only used about 2 months. I don't know if this size is suitable for your tank though. I used it on a relatively small tank for awhile.

Description: 15-Watt Spout Ultra Violet Sterilizer. Hangs on back or side of aquarium. Protect your prized aquatic specimens from the ravages of disease and microorganisms. Quartz-sleeved versions operate in any water temperature and are simple to maintain.

Make me an offer. I can probably bring if over at the June meeting.

This may sound like a dumb question but would it be harmful to corals to run as it may take out thing s from the water they need to survive??

Well what do you hope to accomplish by using a UV sterilizer? Do you have algae problems?? Pretty much anything in the water column will be destroyed (ie particulates that your corals may or may not feed on).
