Anybody had a dog.....

Just wanting to know if anyone has/had a dog with Addison's disease? Just found out that my 5 1/2 month old Dobberman has this condition, hes in ICU at a local pet hospital after going into shock early this morning

. Apparently its very rare especially at his age and being a male. I just want to know how people treated/are treating it and the results of either the pills or the shot. Any advise would be greatly appreciated to put my mind at ease.
