anyone have a link for DIY live rock

a while back someone posted a link to somewhere for a great way to make live rock using the addition of salt to make the rock more pourous. does anyone have that link or know where i can find that thread. While im at it does anyone know what kind of foam it is that is reef safe that some reefers are using to aquascape back walls of tanks and pvc piping? thanks!
