![]() Lately I've been getting a big build up of detrius on my sand bed. I'll stir it up and sometimes even scoop out all the contaminated areas only to have it return the next day. Right now I have most of the sand removed so there's only a shallow layer on the bottom but how do you remedy this problem?

![]() What do you have for flow in the tank? Maybe another power head or so to stir it up so it'll get picked up by the filter or go into the sump.

![]() If your sand bed is that shallow, you should be vacumming it. Try doing that weekly and it will take care of the extra detrius.

![]() Kole tangs eat detritus? I would count on a kole tang to clean your sand.
