Default site update?

Has your website been updated? Just wondering as it says may 26 on the homepage.

Hey Christy,

Correct, the site has not been updated since that time, May 26 was the last update. For the most part, I have been dealing with people interested in a frag pack or a few select pieces. Updating the website can be time consuming...I wonder if I even remember how now!

Like everyone else, I have a full time job and have limited time. I have recently taken down my fish system, and no longer deal with or ship the higher end fish.

Generally, I feel people like less expensive frag packs, and with me not updating the website, well I can more easily justify lower prices. Sometimes seeing a few pictures inspires an email or two. For example, I do have an order going out this week.

Things continue to grow well in both my frag tank and display (my MG is nice and high!). I have some great pieces that will be available soon.

That being said, I still have the 270G display and the 12 sq.ft frag tank, managing over 500G of water.

Feel free to discuss here. Am intersted in hearing your thought regarding updates as we progress into the season.

Thanks,
Dave

Dave, I know for myself anyway, my purchases are soley impulse buys. If I see a pretty pic, it's a must have. Going to your site showed nothing new any time I looked, so eventually I stopped looking. So far I've spent over $400 in the last 4 or 6 weeks on frags, from someone else.
IMO, keeping the pics current and new is what will generate lots of turn around. And higher volume can also justify lower prices.

I agree. I like pics and when I like, I must buy.

I agree with an updated site. If I see something pretty I'm more inclined to purchase but not knowing what's available makes it hard if I'd like to place an order. With an updated site then I wouldn't have to continue to email back & forth for descriptions, pics & prices.

I agree that keeping a website up to date is definitely time consuming and sometimes a pain in the arse, however I'm like Brad, I'm definitely an impulse buyer. I suppose to a certain extent your posts here on canreef certainly generate enough interest. However, the date on your website always makes me wonder if the frags on the site are still available. Perhaps just remove the date?

As an aside, there is another frag website that I used to go to constantly, however the "boxing day sale" ad they had on the front made me wonder if they were even in business anymore (or cared about online sales).

I buy completely on impulse......if it's pretty and it's available I will buy....if I'm not sure whether or not it's available I won't email or call...I'll look elsewhere....

My only means of buying corals is from pics on the internet so if I see "must have pics" I buy lots to make ordering and shipping worth my while.

I too have spent $hundreds in the last 2 months on corals bought on line.

I've looked at your site a few times and never seeing anything new, pass it by. Updated pictures really get your stuff noticed.
