Default Some candy for those who love wind and water..

Happy New Year everyone ...

Enjoy. Watching this makes me want to go take up ice sailing .... so I can regain some of my sanity while I whittle away the 4 or so months before I can hit the water again!!

Ya Hoooooo. My 2 passions, sailing and windsurfing... Reef keeping doesn't count, it's an affliction.

Now THIS is a big boat:
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/htm..._oracle10.html
http://bmworacleracing.com/en/index....&track.type=hn
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/htm...8169280/6.html

100' long, 158' tall, main sail area 5000 square feet!!!!!! The JIB alone is 3500 square feet and the genoa 7000 square feet! I won't be allowed to use my wife's sewing machine to fix a seam on one of those!!!!

Apparently it's sailing around the San Juan's right now. You folks in Victorialand, I dunno, maybe it's too far across the strait but maybe you can catch a glimpse of it. At least easier than I will in landlocked Calgary!!!
