![]() Hey guys. I'm getting my RODI unit going after sitting for a while and I thought it would be a good idea to back flush the RO membrane. I've got new carbon and micron filters so I thought I'd try backwashing the RO membrane before I replace it. It doesn't make much sense to me but I made a small batch of water up using the RO filter before I've replaced any filters and the TDS reading was higher after being filtered than it was coming out of the tap. Does that sound right to anyone else? I even let the water flush the filter for a few hours before starting a fresh sample to test.
Can anyone explain to me how I do a back flush? It's probably easy but I don't want to blow any seals or anything. Thanks.
