Default where to get styrofoam?

Does anyone know where to get some styrofoam to put underneath my tank? Is there a certain thickness or anything like that I should be looking into? thanks.

Sean

You can get the stuff at HD or Rona, it's in the insulation section.

Sean,
You want to make sure you get the DENSE stuff used for insulation. Don't get the regular foam like you get with packaged electronics.

I always use the 3/4" white expanded styrofoam. It has the give needed to level the tank from any surface imperfections. Also it is the cheapest stuff as well. This is the stuff that is widely used in the aquarium trade.

I used 1/2" exterior foam insulation as it is durable and dense. Got it at Home Depot.
