![]() I am having a terrible time trying to control, or better yet find a way to control, a micro bubble problem.
I have no leaks in my return line. and my sump design is almost a carbon copy of a fellow member who doesn't have any problems. The problem is so bad, that the tank looks almost cloudy because of the abundance of bubbles. I tried adding a strip of filter floss between the baffles, between the skimmer and return pump. That didn't work. I tried shutting off the line that runs to my fuge, that didn't work either. Any suggestions?? Cheers Josh

![]() Tried slowing down the return pump? I have to throttle my return down to lessen the microbubbles. Occasionaly I'll get a Burp of bubbles and will cloud the tank. Its worse if the flow is more.

![]() Filter sock on drain from the tank to the sump, unless you think it's your skimmer?

![]() my guess is a pin hole in your plumbing adjacent to your return pump. I had the same issues and noticed that micro bubble were only found in the vinyl tubing after coming through the return pump.
