Default Jammin' out with my new clam out ;)

First clam, a Derasa from J&L.... it's not fully out yet because I just put it in about an hour ago....then moved it about 20 mins later. If it stays in this spot that would be good but we'll see what happens. Sorry about the pic quality, my memory card is crapping out on me and I bought a new one today but I have to find it. (and yeah, see the hair algae? we got a sea hare today too, hopefully he takes care of that)

Nice clam Keri. I always liked Derasas as they have a very cool pattern to them. As for the algae, it may be the dredfull bryopsis. And if it is, you need more than a sea hare to help.

snapped a quick pic right at lights out with a flash

and a FTS of the 65 with the clam to give an idea on size

As for the algae...yeah.... I pull it out by hand every so often but that gets old FAST.... I'm not sure what is causing it, all of my params are Great (aside from a JUST above 0 nitrate) I use RO/DI water, and the oldest T5 bulb I have in there is still only 6 months old. *shrug* Macro algae loves my tank

Awesome clam!! I agree, looks like bryopsis to me. Look over on RC...there's a huge thread over there about raising Mg levels to eradicate bryopsis!

As for the sea hare, what kind of pumps/powerheads do you have? They're notoriously stupid for getting sucked in (I know this from personal experience, ughhh...)

I have Koralias, and mine hasn't been sucked in. When I had a Seio in there, it got sucked in....luckily, I was able to save it, but it wasn't pretty!
