![]() HAMILTON METAL HALIDE 250W 14K BULB
Bright ice white blue appearance, full spectrum consisting primarily of high spikes in the 440-460 nanometer range with additional smaller spikes in 550, 590 and 690 nm range. Will bring out an attractive fluoresence from your fish and corals. Get desired actinic blue color effects without the need to add actinic blue fluorescents to your metal halide. Outstanding color! ![]() I use the same bulb in a 400w. I like them but they are the only bulb I have used so I have nothing to compare them too.

![]() I use them in 250 14k DE variety. I had one burn out a few years ago, but they work good, last for a lot more then a year, and I like the color.

They claim a person wouldn't need actinics, do you agree with this statement? |

![]() I use a 250w DE and a 400w DE over my display. I do not use actinics and like the colour I get off the bulb.

![]() Cool, not that I have a problem adding some actinics but if I don't need to that will save some money, power and heat.

![]() Used to (250W DE), but switched to Ushio because the Hamilton's were not lasting. One bulb lasted 6 months, and the other two only got a month each before burning out (posted here).
I really liked the colour, was the crisp white with a bit a blue. Find the 14K Ushio look yellow in comparison. Did find the look with the actinics a little better than just with the Hamiltons alone. |
