![]() I am in so much trouble right now !
I just drained about 10 gallons from my tank.. siphoning out detrius etc and changing the water. Now my 5 gallon so RO/DI water was finally filled so I go put in about 1 cup of salt and go back over to the tank Now not only has my 2 year old dumped water in the salt bucket but I can't find my hydromerter!! arghhh Now what am I going to do ??? asherah

![]() Honestly, if you can't make the water with RODI fast enough just use tap water and conditioner. And as far as if you can't find your hydrometer just mix as per your salts directions (ie. 1/2 cup salt per gallon) and you should be fine. I use tap water all the time in my tank and i have sps, clams, you name it.

![]() ah, i didn't get that part! sorry! i think you should still be fine as long as you can still measure out roughly 1/2cup of wet salt/gallon. Are we talking the salt is just a little wet on top, or now theres more water than salt in the salt bucket?

![]() no it's just wet. like packy sand at the beach...
I measured it out so hopefully it'll be ok. argh 2 year olds =p as soon as I find my hydrometer i'll measure it. asherah

on another note.. my phosban reacter plugged and dripped all over my power bar! Smoke and all ! yeesh. Thank goodness I saw it right away and yanked the plug out. I have fixed it and now velcroed it to the wall so that doesn't happen again. not my night.. but all can be prevent with common sense =p asherah
