Actually, he's serious. Banana and brocs have been fed to fish with apparent success in making them healthier. Go figure.

I've heard about feeding bananas to fish as well. I believe Paul (who has the 30 yr old reef with an undergravel filter) feeds bananas to his fish and he has had success keeping moorish idols
