Hi,
I have a small reef tank (30G) that I have setup between dining room and living room in a small house.
I have put an overflow on the end which goes to a 10G tank underneath. I have 15Lbs live rock in the 10G tank would this arrangement control my nitrate algae growth in the main tank?
thanks
Jim
P.S. suggestions for additions to sump welcome

if you get a light over it, you can grow macro algae like cheato. You don't need a fancy light, you can get screw in CFL's from home depot and a cheap clamp on lamp to run it.

I'm still torn on chaeto myself. Ive had a ball of it in my sump for the better part of 4 months and it has not grown an inch. I know some people find it grows like a weed though and prune on a regular basis.
