Default Vacation pics

I'm gonna torture you guys too

Some good shots from my vacation out to bc and back, including the mandatory stop at vancouver aquarium

Taken at golden ears - great campground... Too "inner city" though, way too many party animals in the campground.

Campfires can be good:

Ok on to the aquarium:
Did ya know they had butterflies too? This is my favorite shot of about 300

Favorite anemone shot (one of the local species tanks I seem to recall)

Kinda cool:

More Jellies:

Not sure what he was - but he was in the tunnels in the kids play area... And not in any way shy

Mussel tank - Love this shot!!!

Starfish in the big tank in the main entrance...

those are some great pics! fyi, the butterflies are a seasonal thing (annual) from late june to late september. that fish is called a silver spotted sculpin (temperate species same as those nems).

It was an awesome trip - not quite what I had planned... No broken bones but my truck was written off 2 days before we planned to leave - bit of a bad start; then fighting with insurance to get a rental for the trip... Literally had to camp out for numerous hours in the lil-s**t's insurance adjusters office until they decided to take care of me on friday.

We were intending to hit the island, but the rental chewed up a lot more gas; so those plans kinda changed. We did however take the long way home up the sea to sky - now that's a drive worth the ~3-4hr detour.
