Default bubbling over...

Hello all,

I'd like to start with this: I don't actually have a bubble algae problem. I did however find the "biggie" while cleaning today at the back of my tank...

Yeah, I know!

Yes, I did squish it in the sink, and yes, it was pretty neat.

just a quick question, i have 10+ of those growing in my reef tank and was wondering if it's worth removing or should i just wait for my sailfin to eat them? -so far the sailfin tang mowed down alot of the green hair algae, but never saw him eat any bubble algae

If they are big enough, they should "twist" off pretty easy. Doesn't hurt to get rid on 'em, but if they are not out of hand, they look pretty cool. The only thing I've heard of that eats bubble algae are emerald crabs, and thats pretty hit and miss in my experience.

I still think I had the record.
Some of them bounce pretty good before they splat.

Awesome!

Bubble algae is the coolest algae around, I don't care what anyone says!
