Default internal or external pumps?

So are internal return pumps really that bad? I have a 70 gal and want a bigger sump. This would mean it has to be internal. I figure heat transfer is the biggest problem.

Thanks,

Jon

Default

A bigger sump will mean you gotta go with an internal pump? Consider altering your sump so you can have a external pump. Better on electricity, no heat transfer, silent, no vibration, and generally more reliable than internal pumps.
