Default great schooling fish

I want a very bright (red, orange, pink) smaller schooling fish for my 210 gallon. I'd like to buy 5 to 9 of the fish to make a really dynamic splash of colour in the tank. Anyone have any suggestions. I'm really after a fish that swims in unison and doesn't like to break rank.

Full grown at about 3 inches or so, if possible.

Bartlett's Anthias would be a perfect choice.

Default Anthias

Then I guess it'll be Anthias for me. I now have to find a place that I can pick up 7 to 9 at a reasonable enough price that I don't break my bank account!

Affordable..oh...that's a completely different question!

If you get the anthias, word on them is that they require multiple feedings per day...

If your set on anthias and that multiple feeding thing turns out to be true you could always invest a few dollars in an automatic fish feeder.

Chromis are amusing, kind of dumb though. I find that they school best when they are approximately the same size. I have some monster chromis, medium sized ones, and 1 really tiny one. The monster chromis make their own shoal and the rest make a second.

The bartletts are awesome, numbers can matter.

I bought five, lost one immediately, and of the remaining four, one became the shadow male and subsequently had it's eyes taken out by the dominant male.

It lived out it's life in the rockwork, never wanting to give up the quest. I lost all the anthias in a cucumber incident, they were the only ones to go.

I fed them as much as my other fish got. That was twice a day as a rule.
