![]() Picked up a Reefkeeper 2 a couple weeks back, from Quinn at prairiereefsupplies, and have finally got it mostly hooked up. Just wanted to show it off. I never thought I'd go electronic, cause I'm terrible with computer toys, but this was way to cheap to pass up, and after getting a quick walk through of the unit, it's so unbelievably easy. Here are a few pics of my panel board I made for it, which made it super easy to figure out, and simplified all my wires, and gave me back some plugs for other things.
![]() ![]() ![]() Just a quick rundown of what I have running off it, there are 8 plug ports: 1) 4-4" fans, turn on when tank hits 79F 2)Ph controller/ refugium pump, Always ON 3)RO solonoid for top Off, Red sea Wavemaker, and Maxijet Mod, Always ON. 4) 2- 175w Metal Halides, On 11am - OFF 9pm, Turn Off if tank hits 84F 5)Moonlights On at 10pm - 9am 6)Refugium lighting 2- 65w PC, On 8am- Off 11pm 7)4-54w T5's On 9am- Off 10pm, Turn Off when tank hits 86F 8) 2-400w metal Halides, On 12pm- Off 8pm, turns off when temp hits 83F Here's a pic of some of the clutter I got rid of ![]() This little unit, is really awesome. For $330 the price is affordable, unlike the other ones I was looking at that took me into the $800 and up club. Just wanted to show off. I still have to finish it off like get some Ph calibration so I can have it monitor the tank. Anyone looking for a new toy, or to simplify life this ReefKeeper is top notch. Between this and My Auto topoff, the best money I ever spent. And to end off, here's a bad pic of my 180g ![]() Here's a little before, and after action. A small difference, if I do say so myself.
