![]() I feel a little bit like an IDIOT asking this, but anyone wanna sell me some RO water? Setting up a new 35ish gallon tank and need RO water to fill it. I've been "borrowing" bottled water from work for small 4 gallon water changes on my 10 gallon, but I think 7 bottles of water missing might be noticed.

![]() Hi E-Treme,
FWIW I've set up quite a few SW tanks and have never used R/O water to start (unless it's a little Nano). I just use tap water and conditioner. Your tank will have to cycle anyways before fish and corals are added and go through algae/diatom blooms etc... any phosphates, silicates, nitrates etc... will be used up there. If you were worried about other trace elements you could go overboard on the carbon to start as well. |
