Sorry for sounding dumb but I am new to these bulletin boards and don't know what a buddy list is!

It's just a list you can add other users to so that you can see when they are on line and so on. It will appear on the left side of your screen when you have users on the list. To put someone on your list just left click on their user name and choose "add to buddy list". To remove them just click "remove from buddy list.".

You can also add names through the user control panel.
