Default Aquarium transition

I was going through some old tank pics and had to chuckle so I thought I'd share my aquarium's transition over the past 2 or so years. The original set up was in Oct 04 and at that time I had no plans to keep any coral. As I have evolved there have of course been many changes. I did a complete tear down and start over Labour day weekend Sept 06 as I had a huge algae and RTN/STN problem, I cut back dead tissue and saved what I could so for the most part I mainly had a just large frag tank. I believe I have fixed the issues that contributed to the problems so I am hoping it might be something a little nicer to look at in another year or so.

Nov 2004, complete with back drop picture, cyno and plastic plants ( I guess we all have to start somewhere. I had just added in a sponge and RBTA so I thought I was just cruisin' right along.)

Dec 04

Side view in Jan 2005

More current front and side views below. The front view was taken with just the 2x150w 20k lights so I assume that's why the regal tang looks purple.

I am not going to frag that one, it grows too slow and plus it's my favorite.
