Default DIY Phosphate Reactor

Not too sure where to post this thread, but I am looking for parts to build a phosphate reactor. I know that the basic blueprint is like a calcium reactor, so I am looking for prob. 4" diameter pvc/acrylic/abs pipe.

Also has anyone tried to make one out of an old fluval canister, one of the old round ones? Would that work? If so I can build one right now.
