Default Potassium chloride

Anyone know a common name or local source of K (potassium)

This is a large component of the ZEOvit system and K is found in NSW in levels of 400ppm about the same as Ca. I have been dosing the ZEOvit Potassium supplement but if there was a good alternative that might not be as expensive I would love to find it.

I attribute my increased K levels to a lot of the increased colour I have been getting out of my SPS

I used KCl in the form of NoSalt (found in any supermarket) for my planted tank.

K-Dur come in 20 Meq tablets... If your doctor likes you you could probably get a Rx... they may be hesitant because potassium can be fatal if large quantities are ingested...

Jason
There are other salts ,chemicals & also a natural enzyme in K-balance that makes The K+ more uptakeable by corals.
Also not just for K+ but also MG or any other Ion you trying to supplement for your Reef I will stay away from adding too much of chloride based chemicals ,they will throw off your Ionic balance fom what it is in NSW
I will try to find the article on ADVANCE AQUARIST to post later ,you can also do a search on RC for it If you are a premium member ,unfortunately I am not ,so no search till late late night for me.

Jason,
here is a thread form RC on using an alternative. Doesn't seem to point to any problems using another K source
Potassium Chloride powder

Sorry MODs for posting link to another forum
