![]() ...however blocked by Stripey Pants who can't be photographed unless you are trying to photgraph something else. He can give some size perspective I guess... The sebae anemone must be approaching 14 inches, and isn't even fully expanded here. It is becoming a monster, such that I wouldn't recommend the sebae, for an additional reason now. If they DO thrive, you will need an enormous environment for them.

![]() Yup, totally agreed on that one. In fact, it seems just about any anemone species, if thriving, gets just enormous given enough time. I was just about to add to that, "with the possible exception of BTAs" but then I had a second thought -- even they can get exceptionally large if they want to (I have seen 20" specimens of BTA, although I think those tend to be a specific strain or sub-species, but even if not all BTAs get that huge, they can get large nonetheless, and then split, and then you can have multiple large BTAs in a tank, and unless you're prepared to unload the splits you will be wishing you had an enormous setup for them..)
Mind you, to me, there is little less exciting to see a fantastic specimen of anemone. I just saw Stichodactyla gigantea for real (not a photograph) the other day. I am so, so, mad at myself for not bringing my camera. :( Oh well, c'est la vie.... BTW, thanks for the picture. Looks very nice!
