Default A Bunch Of New Photos. New bulb, etc...

I know your all thinking it looks pretty crammed in there. It's not too bad, the pics make it look more full than it is (if that's possible) . Also, there's lots of detritus everywhere cuz I took these pics yesterday and I just cleaned the tank as I torn it apart the night before catching a yellow damsel.. Still have upgrade plans.. if all goes well I will have a cube/stand within the next couple weeks or so... hopefully..

So, here are is a before picture with a Hamilton 14k , and then the after with an EVC 14k (250w HQI) . Again, my pictures never turn out right.. the colours are off, etc... it doesn't pick up the vibrance in my corals.. but oh well. I was lucky enough to snag a few SPS colonies that have some awesome potential.. I can't wait to see how they turn out in a couple months under my lights and so on... some are tanned out a bit from being fragged/being in a new system.. so I'll post more updated pics later.

Anyways.. here's the pics:

Full Tank Shot with the Hamilton 14k :

Full Tank Shot with the EVC 14k & New Corals:

Pic 1:

Pic 2:

As you can tell, the Hamilton looks brighter.. but my camera just didn't pick up the colours well at all with the new EVC.. it's super bright.

And last but not least.. my newly added chiller. Keeps the tank at a stable 80 with the lights on for 10 hours.. simple and effective.

Thanks for looking.. I will work on getting more colour accurate photos, crisper photos ,etc... the first shot of the Green tort is so off.. that baby has such intense colour, I can't believe it.

Looks great.

I know what you mean about the camera not capturing the overall colour. Maybe see if you can set the white balance to a piece of paper underneath the light. Not sure if all cameras let you adjust that though (one would hope).

Bear in mind that this is advice from someone who can't take a decent tank picture to save his life. LOL I do fine with outdoor shots, just not tank shots for some reason.

Thanks guys.. man, I can't wait to see what some of these pieces I got turn out to be. In the tan/green/yellow mille, I can see a super neon green hue in the polyps, so I am hoping in a couple months under my lighting and what not that they'll start to colour up nicely.

Ron, I think the bulb was $140 or $145 locally. But I got the bulb and a fish for 145$ , so I got a decent deal.

Your tank's looking pretty good. Looks like it's back from the dead.

Nice job on the "chiller". Simple, cheap and effective.
