Anyone have problems with fish jumping into there aquaclear hob?

When I run my carbon I use an aquaclear hob, and I always find my fish get in there especially this one clown, so I modded it out so that there is no way they can get in, and this morning when the light comes on my one clown is missing, sure enough he must have been trying his hardest to jump back in there, and overshot it I guess, lets just say he was pretty stiff and dryed up on the carpet when I found him....
